Neem Tree (Azadirachta indica)

Neem (Azadirachta indica)

Neem is a hardy evergreen tree widely grown in Pakistan's warmer regions. Its tolerance of heat and relatively dry conditions makes it particularly useful for urban and community plantation projects.

Environmental Benefits

• Captures carbon during growth
• Provides habitat for birds and insects
• Tolerates hot climatic conditions
• Requires comparatively limited care once established

Suitable Regions

Particularly suitable for Sindh, Punjab and warmer parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Neem should not be prioritised for cold, high-altitude areas.
